Electronics & Communication Engineering

ABOUT DEPARTMENT

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) is one of the first departments established in 2007 for imparting state-of-the-art knowledge in Electronics and Communication Engineering. The department is supported by highly dedicated qualified faculty which include Ph.D’s and pursuing Ph.D’s in various fields of specialization having vast experience in both Industry and Academia. The department offers a Bachelors programme in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Masters Programme in Digital Electronics and Communication Systems (DECS). The department is intended to generate and disseminate knowledge and technologies essential to the local and global needs in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The department is providing excellent opportunities for young technocrats to enhance their learning capabilities with strong skill set in Microelectronics, Communications, Signal & Image processing, Embedded Systems and IOT & Robotics. The future is full of limitless opportunities. The department is focused on building talent for the future. Therefore it has conceptualized to address the need for focused training and to produce certifications in niche domains such as IOT, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, CISCO, DATA SCIENCE WITH PYTHON, ETHICAL HACKING, ROBOTICS etc.

The department provides ample hands on training to the students on National Instruments hardware and software (MYDAQ Virtual Instrumentation and LABVIEW), Cadence tools, Analog Discovery Kits, IOT and PCB Design. It has well established air conditioned Laboratories with modern equipment to impart knowledge for future industrial and academic needs. The department has well equipped Laboratories viz. Electronic Devices and Circuits, Electronic Circuit Analysis and Design, Integrated Circuit Applications, Microwave and Optical Communications, Analog and Digital Communications, VLSI, Digital Signal Processing, Microprocessors and Microcontrollers, Embedded Systems, Basic Simulation, Virtual Instrumentation, CADENCE, Satellite Navigation System, IOT & Robotics. The labs offer students to work on a wide range of advanced software packages, such as, MATLAB, XILINX, FPGA, CADENCE, NI LABVIEW, MYDAQ, MYRIO, TETRIX, ARDUINO BOARDS AND SENSORS, MULTISIM, and KEIL.
